At EHDOC, our Service Coordinators are at the heart of our communities. Every day, they connect residents with resources, create opportunities for engagement, build meaningful partnerships, and find new ways to help older adults remain active, connected, and independent.
During EHDOC’s 2026 Waves of Impact Conference, we had the opportunity to celebrate this incredible team and recognize Service Coordinators whose dedication, creativity, communication, and commitment to residents made an exceptional impact throughout the year.
From coordinating dozens of resident programs to introducing innovative activities and community partnerships, these honorees demonstrate what it means to put EHDOC’s mission into action.
Program Awards
Our Service Coordinators work throughout the year to bring educational, social, wellness, recreational, and supportive programming directly to residents. This year’s Program Award recipients were recognized for an impressive level of resident programming and engagement:
- Laura Betterton – Savoy Heights: 68 programs
- Landie Thompson – Chateau des Amis: 67 programs
- Rashenda Johnson – John Piazza: 66 programs, including 19 arts and crafts programs
- Casey Chaddrick – Village de Memoire: 62 programs
- Kate Acquah – Council House: 59 programs
- Hollee Fendley – John Marvin Tower: 57 programs
- Haley Kim – J. Michael Fitzgerald: 55 programs
- Tracy Campbell – Robert A. Georgine: 52 programs, including 26 ongoing programs
- Kimberly Russell – Sunshine Center: 52 programs
- Pam Taylor – Worley’s Place: 50 programs
- Tracy Campbell – South Boston: 49 programs, including 21 ongoing programs
- Hollee Fendley – Spring Rock Park: 41 programs
These numbers represent much more than activities on a calendar. Each program creates another opportunity for residents to learn something new, build friendships, access important resources, stay active, and remain connected to their community.
Innovative Programs
Some of the most meaningful programs begin with a creative idea and a willingness to try something new. Our Innovative Program Awards celebrated Service Coordinators who brought unique experiences, partnerships, and resources to their residents.
Tracy Campbell – Robert A. Georgine/South Boston
Tracy partnered with Dog B.O.N.E.S. Therapy Dogs, an organization that helps train dogs and their owners to become certified therapy teams that visit hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and other settings to bring comfort and joy.
Landie Thompson – Chateau des Amis
Landie introduced an Emotional Charades Group Therapy Activity in partnership with Compass Behavioral Health Inpatient and Outpatient Center, creating an engaging approach to emotional expression and connection.
Antonio Sixto-Acea – Council Towers South
Residents had an opportunity to get moving through Zumba Classes provided by the City of Miami Beach, bringing fitness, fun, and community engagement together.
Merci Littuau – Dino Papavero
Merci coordinated a Durable Medical Equipment Safety Check & Tune-Up Clinic with Aging Care, Inc., helping residents ensure important equipment remained safe and functional.
Naomi Berry – Earl Bourdon Centre
Naomi created a memorable Residents & Families Appreciation Day, complete with the Cruisin Cow Ice Cream Truck — a sweet way to bring residents and their families together.
Karla Chitay – Phillip Murray Place
Karla was recognized for programming in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, connecting residents with valuable information and resources.
Tristian Hendrix was also recognized with the Spotlight on Residents Award, celebrating efforts to place residents and their stories at the center of our communities.
Excellence in Biweekly Reporting
Great service coordination also requires consistent communication and documentation. Our Biweekly Report honorees were recognized for keeping their communities, programs, activities, and resident engagement efforts well documented and communicated.

Although newer to their roles, these Service Coordinators are already making their mark and demonstrating the compassion, initiative, and dedication that define service coordination at EHDOC.
The Heart of Our Communities
The work of a Service Coordinator can take many forms. On any given day, it may mean connecting a resident with an essential resource, organizing a wellness program, building a partnership with a local organization, planning an activity that brings neighbors together, or simply being a trusted and familiar person a resident knows they can turn to.
That is why recognizing our Service Coordinators was such an important part of the Waves of Impact Conference.
Each award represented something bigger than an individual accomplishment. Together, they reflected the tremendous impact our Service Coordinators make across EHDOC communities every day.
