A very special birthday was celebrated on Thursday, March 16!
EHDOC Staff including CEO Melanie Ribeiro, Vice President of Development Roland Broussard and Operations Manager Maryanth Blanco were pleased to honor resident Mollie Horwitz by attending her 107th birthday celebration at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. We presented Mollie with an engraved dominoes set because she loves dominoes so much! We also presented her with a beautiful knitted blanket. It was such a joy to spend time with Mollie and listen to her stories.
Special guests included Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber as well as Gloria Campos, Liaison to the Office of the Mayor and Commission and Council Towers Board Member, and members of Mollie’s family.

Mollie was born in Lithuania, one of nine children. She survived the Holocaust and credits her long life to her positive mind and her family that keeps her going. She has an incredibly good memory, loves to celebrate her birthday, and enjoys telling about her life.
Mollie has lived in Council Towers for 45 years. What a special afternoon we spent with this wonderful resident!
