The 40th anniversary of Jacksonville Towers was recently celebrated by residents, staff and local officials in Jacksonville, Arkansas. The 9-story 100-unit building opened March 31, 1979.
In attendance were many residents as well as Bob Johnson, Mayor of Jacksonville; James Reid, former Mayor of Jacksonville; Mark Perry, Jacksonville State Representative; and Fredrick Love, Little Rock State Representative. A time capsule was dedicated to commemorate the occasion.

In Ville Platte, Louisiana on November 17, 2023, Executive Director Carleen Bellard with the Evangeline Community Action Agency presented EHDOC with a 2023 Partnership Award, “In Appreciation for Outstanding Service and Dedication to the Citizens of our Community.” The award was presented during the agency’s Black and Gold event.
On November 3, 2023, Clyde F. Simon Lakeview I and II Apartments was recognized by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Steuben County as recipient of the Spirit of Partnership Award for providing exceptional service. The staff also received a proclamation of gratitude from Senator Tom O’Mara, Assemblyman Philip Palmesano, Assemblywoman Marjorie Byrnes, and Assemblyman Joseph Giglio.
